Wild Photos is the creation of Ken Langelier and Michele Langelier and is located in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
As a veterinarian Ken became well known for his work on Bald Eagles and his victory in banning the use of lead shot for waterfowl hunting. Ken was profiled on Discovery Channel's 'Champions of the Wild' and featured in Canadian Geographic magazine. Ken also was instrumental in leading bans on the use of wild animal acts in circuses and performances in many areas of British Columbia. Ken initiated the Identipet Tattoo aiding in the return of lost and injured pets to their rightful owners. This program has now been adopted province-wide.. Ken's work for animal welfare has won him the SPCA's Veterinarian of the Year Award and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association's Humane Award.
Ken and Michele's passion for photography has led them to many countries of the world primarily seeking out ild animals and people. Ken and Michele are also involved in photographing the art of body painting and its development of body painting as a main stream art form. Ken and Michele share a blended family of ten children and their wedding was featured on 'The Wedding Story' a TLC television program.
The mission of Wild Photos is to collect images of all species and breeds of wild and domestic creatures including humanoids. Wild Photos is a collection of these images and is shared on the world wide web so others can enjoy them.
